Results-driven Request For Proposal Sprint

Does your city have an upcoming high-priority Request for Proposal (RFP) you would like help drafting? Then join What Works Cities and Partners for Public Good for a 7-week virtual learning opportunity: 2025 Results-Driven RFP Sprint!

During this experience, a cohort of up to 4 city governments will workshop RFPs from start to
finish, including: developing problem statements, outlining RFP goals, drafting scopes of work, establishing contract performance metrics, and identifying proposal evaluation criteria. By the end of this sprint, each participating government will have learned best practices for creating effective solicitations to procure high-quality services for residents and developing a solid draft of their own RFP!

Participating governments will form teams of 2-4 members from various stakeholder departments to join this cohort and will receive guidance from a dedicated coach during the sprint. This opportunity is suited for city governments with a service-oriented, resident-facing solicitation that can commit 3-4 hours per week from July to early September.

The Sprint will help cities to achieve the following criteria:

  • RDC1: Your local government defines strategic goals & desired outcomes for key procurements, contracts, &/or grants.

  • RDC2: Your local government uses metrics to measure outcomes or impacts for key procurements (disaggregated by geographic and demographic subgroups when possible), & flag when performance is off track during the course of a contract.

  • RDC4: Your local government uses procurement & contracting approaches that incentivize vendors to work toward your local government’s strategic goals defined in the contracts, procurements, &/or grants.

Space is limited, register today!

*Do to the limited nature of this engagement, registration is NOT a guarantee of participation. The Partners For Public Good team will reach out to schedule a time to learn more about your proposed RFP and team and determine whether you’re the right fit for this opportunity.
