Ends:  Apr 18, 2023 02:00 PM (ET)
REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

*This course will be primarily facilitated in English, with interpretation into Spanish and Portuguese.

For many local governments, budgeting in ways that enhance and achieve social outcomes requires building a budget from the ground up — funding goals, measuring results, including input from multiple voices, and developing a new approach to integrating data. This Sprint will teach participants to use quantitative and qualitative data and strategies to align budget and financial processes (i.e., expenditures, strategic investments, revenue) with strategic priorities that also lead to stronger social outcomes for residents. Cities will learn and test global best practices in budgeting to achieve strong equity and social outcomes, and emerging practices that enable them to integrate values across various domains of financial decision-making.

By the conclusion of the sprint, participants will emerge with a concrete plan that they create to enhance how they make financial decisions in ways that produce stronger social or equity outcomes in their cities and achieve certification, while also advancing strong fiscal health in alignment

This is an eight week sprint, repeated every Tuesday, with the second to last week (11/29) off to complete the sprint assignment.
