Communicating Performance Measures

Do you ever look at your city’s dashboard or performance report and wonder, “Is this useful to our audience? Can they understand it? How are other cities communicating their performance measures?”

In this single intensive session, cities will share their challenges and opportunities in communicating performance measures, get ideas from peers, and evaluate their approach against best practices. Cities will also meet individually with an instructor after the class to follow-up on specific questions about the content and their city’s context.

Come ready to share your thoughts on your city’s performance measurement communications and offer feedback to other cities.

This course will put you on the path to achieving the following WWC Criteria:

PA3: Your local government regularly shares its strategic goals, performance measures, and progress toward achieving those goals with the public.

Must meet 2 of 2 | Timebound: Yearly

PA3.1: Strategic goals and progress towards them must be publicly shared at minimum annually.
PA3.2: Your local government has and publicly shares assigned targets, metrics, and a timeframe for measuring progress toward the achievement of a publicly stated strategic goal(s).
