Join the Bloomberg Philanthropies What Works Cities team to learn how your city can use data to make better decisions and improve residents’ lives. This 45-minute session will introduce the What Works Cities initiative, walk you through the Data Snapshot—the first step to joining our national network—and demonstrate how cities across the country are building stronger, more effective governments through data-driven practices.

Through inspiring stories from cities in our network, we’ll illustrate the real-world impact of using data to improve services, guide decision-making, and strengthen community outcomes. You’ll gain insight into the tools, resources and support available to help your city start its own data journey.

You’ll leave with a clear understanding of how to get started, access to free resources, and connections to a community of peers committed to driving measurable results for residents. The What Works Cities network provides an ongoing forum to share progress, surface and solve challenges, and learn from the tested strategies of other municipalities. It’s a collaborative environment designed to foster continuous learning, celebrate innovation, and accelerate each city’s ability to deliver better outcomes for its residents.
