Request for Proposal Sprint

Starts:  Feb 15, 2023 02:00 PM (ET)
Ends:  Mar 29, 2023 03:00 PM (ET)
Does your city have an upcoming Request for Proposal (RFP) that you’d like to receive expert support in drafting? Join What Works Cities and the Harvard Kennedy School Government Performance Lab (GPL) for a 6-week virtual learning sprint.

You will work with a cohort of cities to workshop your RFP from start to finish: developing problem statements, outlining RFP goals, establishing contract performance metrics, drafting scopes of work, and identifying proposal evaluation criteria. The goal of the sprint is not only to help you craft an effective results-driven RFP that delivers high-quality services to residents, but also to help you and your team master best practices in procurement, including improving stakeholder communication and streamlining procurement processes.

If you have an upcoming RFP for resident-facing services that you’d like to workshop in February and March 2023 and can commit your team to approximately 2-3 hours of collaborative session work per week for six weeks, please express your interest via the Register Now button. We will then reach out to schedule a time to learn more about your proposed RFP and team.

Participation in this opportunity is free to you and colleagues in your city because you have completed a What Works Cities Assessment. This sprint will help you meet qualifying criteria for Results Driven Contracting (RDC) 1, 2, and 4.

For any questions, please contact the GPL’s Procurement Team at gplpen@hks.harvard.edu.
