Transforming Communities through Social Participation

Join us for a Peer Share with Mogi das Cruzes on Transforming Communities through Social Participation!

Developing communities involves dealing with complex challenges that span several sectors and do not have a single solution, but rather a continuous process of building and learning through the implementation and evaluation of public policies. Resources that facilitate accurate diagnoses and solutions tailored to the local context are fundamental to efficient public management. Social participation not only represents a principle and a value, but is also a highly effective instrument for transforming communities.

At the event, we will have the opportunity to discuss the complexity and lessons learned from social participation, exploring how we can transform communities based on the data collected in participatory processes.

We will have simultaneous interpretation into English and Spanish.

About What Works Cities

This learning opportunity and more are available to staff in cities that have completed our online self-Assessment for What Works Cities Certification. The What Works Cities Certification program, launched in 2017 by Bloomberg Philanthropies and led by Results for America, is the first-of-its-kind standard of excellence for data-driven, well-managed local government. Open to cities in North and South America with a population of at least 30,000, What Works Cities Certification welcomes cities at all points in their data journey. Take the Assessment, join our Community and lead with data!
