OVERVIEW

This sprint is part one of a two-part series to design and implement an evaluation. In this 6-week course, you and a team of participants from your city will scope an evaluation. You will create a document that outlines a clear vision for an evaluation project, including:

  • What you want to evaluate and why
  • An overview of the program you are evaluating, including a theory of change
  • Specific research questions you want to answer
  • A list of data sources you can use to answer those research questions

SESSION DATES & TIMES

All sessions are Wednesdays from 2-3 PM Eastern Time (July 17, July 24, July 31, August 7, and August 14). Each city will have 1:1 coaching sessions on Wednesdays or Thursdays each week beginning July 24.

Note: This course is well suited for cities who are beginning their evaluation journey. We only require an interest in evaluation and a program you want to evaluate. Cities looking to deepen their evaluation experience may also participate in this course by forming more than one project team and scoping multiple evaluations at once.
