What Works Cities Certification Peer Shares offer city practitioners a unique space to exchange knowledge and best practices on data and evidence-based practices and policies. Each quarter, these online sessions bring together staff from cities across the Americas to celebrate their work, brainstorm new ideas, learn best practices and strengthen intercity relationships. Peer shares will take a variety of forms, including city showcases and presentations, Q&A formats, round robin discussions and more. Peer shares are available to any city that has completed the WWC Assessment and Community onboarding process.
In this recording of our second 60-minute session - captured on December 4, 2024 at 12pm ET - Silver Certified Issaquah, WA shares how their small, but mighty City started from having performance measures to developing as a data-driven and data literate organization that prioritizes data and evidence in how it provides services and develops policies. Dale Markey-Crimp, Assistant to the City Administrator, provides guidance on how to self-define where your own city is in the data-driven journey. As well as have an idea about how to make performance measurement more meaningful, relevant and actionable in your city!
The audience consisted of cities that have taken the WWC assessment, with attendance of 25 cities.
This library entry also includes presentation materials spoken about during and shared after the session.
